The author

Who is V. Tacet?

A pen name. A young man from Europe, still in his twenties, who notices too much to stay quiet about it.

I don't see the world in stories. I see it in angles, in details, in the small mechanics under the skin — the way a wrongly-placed glass can be an act of love, or the start of a wound.

My mind was built to notice too much.
The books are what that looks like when I stop fighting it.

That's why they don't resemble each other. Horror, love, grief, machines — they're the same attention, pointed at different rooms.

If a story here cuts you, it cut me first.

— V. Tacet

The name

Tacet.

Latin. It means he is silent. I write so I don't have to be.

The work

Eight books.

One is finished. One is being written. I don't choose what I write — I open the room that's loudest.

The confession

One hour.

Before the fiction, there was the truth. It's free, and it always will be.
